General[/blockquote][/size]-Be nice and respect everyone.
This shouldn't need elaboration.
-No sexual content.
This is in the Proboards rules, and it also should be relatively easy to follow. The minimum age for members is 13, so if a thirteen-year-old can't handle it, it's too much. Good rule for most things here.
-Keep swearing to a minimum.
Yes, minor swearing is allowed. All members should be at least thirteen, which seems to me plenty old enough to handle swearing. Still, keep it to a minimum, and under no circumstance use swearing to hurt others.
-No spamming/double posting.
The modify button exists for a reason, so use it if you need to! It just keeps things neater and is a lot less annoying. Blog threads and the like are obvious exceptions.
-Staff members
They're here to better the site and help things run smoothly. Please, respect them. As well, do not ask to become staff unless there is a staff search. We search for staff potential in members, and if we see any, we will personally send them a questionnaire and ask them if they're interested in becoming staff. As well, if you feel as if you are being bullied by staff, do not start a confrontation - PM another staff member, and they'll sort things out.
-Attempt correct spelling and grammar.
I understand that some people just aren't good with grammar, so it's fine to have a few slip-ups. If your post gets hard to read, though, you will be notified and asked to clean it up. There will never be any punishment for bad grammar, just try your best for the sake of everyone here. (:
-Only advertise in the proper board.
If you post advertisements anywhere else, they will be deleted immediately.
-Have fun!
No problem, right?
Roleplaying-Only make as many characters as you can handle.
I'll leave it to you to judge how many that is. I know how awful it is to have to ditch characters because you have too many, so it is best to consider this when making new characters.
-Creating Characters--You must follow the application template when creating characters. You can modify it as you like and add more to it, but you must have all the fields of the original.
--Have fun and get creative with your characters, but be realistic when designing them. No purple dogs with orange eyes. Genetic defects such as two tails should be very, very rare, and will be moderated accordingly.
--You can create blind characters if you want, but there's no sound in this universe, so they'll need a companion to help them, at the very least.
--No unreasonable crossbreeds. These can only exist if two different creatures are killed and their soulbloods unite and create a new creature, which should be rare. These will instead be put up for adoption occasionally by staff, and will require an audition to obtain. (Dog/Wolf crossbreeds and crossbreeding between different types of bears are always deemed acceptable. If you are unsure whether a certain combination is acceptable, pm Cobalt or the Admin Account.)
-Keep to your own level threads.
We welcome roleplayers of all levels, but please try to stick to threads that are your level. One person should not be writing five paragraphs every time while the other writes one. If a more experienced roleplayer wants to adapt slightly so they can thread with a beginner, this is absolutely fine.
-Write!
An in-character rp post should be at least a small paragraph. Even beginners should be able to manage that, I think. It is understandable that all of us have times when we can't muster up muse, though, so we have no official requirement.
Groups
-Make one!
Groups are what will really make this rp interesting, so I highly encourage you to create/join one! There are several rules for groups, but most will be covered in a seperate thread.
-Details...
All members of a group have something in common, whether it be species, personality, or goals. There is usually an advantage to grouping together in this world, so many may eager to join. Your character is not required to join a group, of course.
-Requirements
To form a new group there must be at least five characters who will be in it, and those characters must be spread across at least three different members. If the number of characters in the group drops below four, they will no longer be recognized as an official group and may not claim their territory.
Now that that's over and done, the password to the Character Creation board is "lampshade". It will change every month, and a reminder of that will be placed in the announcements when it does.
Enjoy the site, dears! Stay sane!
