Common Terminology
Note that these are terms that most creatures in this world use. Depending on their beleifs, some characters may use slight variations, if you wish. The Shadowed Void: The unfinished "dark" side of the world. Nobody knows how far it goes. It is all comprised of darkness, the landscape barely appearing 3-dimensional, and is comprised of harsh forest, meadows, and tundra, and at the furthest from the Nexus, flat black ice.
The Bright Void: The unfinished "light" side of the world. Nobody knows how far it goes. It is all comprised of pure light, the landscape barely appearing 3-dimensional. It contains forest, grassy plains, desert, and at the furthest from the Nexus, flat bright rock.
The Nexus: The better-developed "center" of the world, along the border of the Bright and Shadowed Voids. It is made of black and white and dull grays, and at the moment is mostly forest with a few still-developing "villages".
The Transportation: The infamous day when all creatures were transferred to the Absolute Nothing.
Soulblood: The blood of the creatures of The Absolute Nothing. It is laced with their soul, which turns it silver. When they are killed, the soulblood scatters.
Arima: One of the accepted terms for the interspecies telepathy-language. (from "soul" in Basque)
Nahi: Another accepted term for the interspecies telepathy-language. (from "wish" in Basque)
Konexioa: Another accepted term for the interspecies telepathy-language. (from "connection" in Basque. Cobalt loves Basque.)
Resisters: Term among those who hunt and eat smaller creatures for those who constantly go hungry or eat only plants as an alternative. (used only among carnivores and omnivores)
Ignorants: Term among those who go hungry or eat only plants for those who hunt and eat smaller creatures.

Allowed Species
Humans Cats (includes both house cats and the larger felines) Dogs/Wolves Foxes Badgers Horses Any bird of prey (Owl, Eagle, Falcon, etc.) Bears (even polar bears can live on the ice of the Shadowed Void) Rodents (rats, rabbits, hedgehogs, whatever! Just know that they'll need to watch out for Ignorants!)
Be reasonable when roleplaying the species that need a specific environment. They can survive in any climate, but they'll be ridiculously uncomfortable in some. So, no polar bears out on the Sparkling Sands, please.
Want to suggest a new species? They must be land-capable, reasonably intelligent, able to live in at least one of the environments in The Absolute Nothing, and, of course, something that you'll enjoy! Just pm Cobalt or the Admin Account if you'd like one added!

The NexusThe Core Pool: In the center of the Nexus lies this large pool. Its waters are cool and clear blue, making it the only part of landscape with color in The Absolute Nothing, and it is filled with tiny fish. To some, it is considered sacred.
The Great Clearing: Near the Core Pool, it's a very large clearing with soft grass and sandy soil. It serves as a good place to meet, and is considered a sort of safe place for all species.
The Nexus Forest: This forest, colored in shades of gray, covers almost all of the Nexus, and fades into the Light and Dark forests at the edges. Various creatures make their homes here, enjoying the seasons that other places don't really have.
The Splitting Stream: On one side, the stream feeds into the Core Pool, and on the other it flows away. The Splitting Stream creates the border between the Bright Void and the Shadowed Void, widening the further it gets from the Nexus. The Bright VoidThe Light Forest: There are pure white trees and various undergrowth here, and you can only see their shadows as the sky is also always pure white, no matter whether it is clear or raining. Of all the regions in the Light Void, it is the closest to the Nexus.
The Misty Plains: More pure white is here, in the form of endless white sky and tall, swaying grasses. It is almost always misty here, not that you can tell the difference by sight. It is bordered by the Light Forest and fades into the Sparkling Sands.
The Sparkling Sands: Eventually, far from the Nexus, the Misty Plains fade into pure white dunes of sand. If it wasn't for the way the sand sparkled, you would appear to be walking on nothing at all. The weather is hot and dry, with occasional breezes but never rain.
The Slab: At the farthest from the Nexus, days and days of travel away, the Sparkling Sands give way to a pure white, perfectly smooth slab of rock. The weather out here is very hot, with never a raindrop nor a breeze. Nobody knows how far this region goes. The Shadowed VoidThe Dark Forest: Here, in the region of the Shadowed Void closest to the Nexus, there are trees and undergrowth that seem to be made of darkness itself. Only highlights, made by sourceless light, allows you to see your surroundings.
The Night Meadows: Bordered by the Dark Forest and the Black Tundra. The sky and soft grasses and flowers are all black, but highlights from an unseen light stand out sharply, like stars.
The Black Tundra: The weather never stops being cold, and dark snow coats a near-grassless ground. Highlights on the pathetic little bushes are all that there is to see, but there is often plenty of wind to feel.
The Freeze: Days and freezing days of travel from the nexus leads you here, where there is only cold blackness. The sky is starless and weatherless, and the perfectly flat black ice refuses to shine. It may stretch on forever, nobody knows for sure.
